About

I’m Naomi.
Postpartum Doula, Wife, Mother.

I’ve been in Kelowna since 2013 and fell in love with the area and believe it’s the perfect place to raise my family. I spend my time enjoying all that the beautiful Okanagan has to offer with my kids and husband.

I welcomed my first in 2016, my second in 2017 and my third in 2019. Each brought their own unique pregnancies, birth and postpartum experiences. With my final birth and postpartum, I experienced birth trauma and a postpartum mood disorder. This was a motivating factor in pursuing a life that supports postpartum families.

In 2020, I felt a strong pull to support postpartum families. I experienced firsthand the gaps in postpartum care and learned that what we consider to be adequate postpartum care falls short in every category. In addition to completing my certification as a postpartum doula, I have trainings in postpartum mental health and pregnancy and infant loss.

In 2022, I had just left a postpartum shift. I felt whole and complete. I was so at peace and could feel my own motherhood healing while I support another mother on her journey. While I had been supporting families since 2020, that was the day Healing Motherhood came to be.

“— you were the kindest, most observant help we have literally ever had to date. I totally like things a certain way and you were amazing at noticing in my sleep-deprived, hormonal, new-mom days”
